As summer begins roadwork continues to grow throughout this
busy time of year. The signs are all around keeping you aware of all the
constructions sites ahead and the reality is many accidents happen due to

pattern after you see the sign that you’ve left the work zone.

tailgating. Speed and rear end collision are top reasons for accidents.
Keeping a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you are
important. The change in traffic pattern can cause quick changes in driving.

Minimize
Distractions. It is important during anytime of driving to avoid
distractions. Work zones need to change road traffic; staying alert to these
changes is extremely helpful.

Stay
Patient. It is important to remain calm. Work zones can add traffic and
delays trying to reach your destination. Remember the work zones crew is
working on improving the road to make your job easier.

Plan
accordingly. Make a pre-trip plan. Before heading out check your travel route
in advance and schedule for traffic to give yourself enough time. A great

Remember to be safe throughout the various work zones. Many
of these accidents can be avoided, it is up to you to contribute your part and
stay alert.
